QUESTIONS

Question: Why Join SAE?

Through brotherhood, each member gets the necessary tools he needs in order to better himself and the community. We base our values on the True Gentlemen which every brother will live by while in the chapter and after graduation. We try to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service to our members.

Question: What about Pledging or Hazing?

Sigma Alpha Epsilon has a zero tolerance policy for hazing. We do not condone or tolerate any type of bad behavior. We strive to be True Gentlemen! SAE has also eliminated the need for pledging because everyone is a brother to us.

Question: Does My Son Have to Live in the Fraternity House?

It depends on the chapter. Your son, however, might want to take advantage of what the chapter house has to offer! Built and opened in August 2016, our chapter house has the ability to comfortably house 4 brothers! We encourage your son to talk with brothers on what it is like to live in the house and how it could effect him. Want to view our house? Click Here

Q3

Question: Does it Cost A Lot of Money to be in SAE?

Our chapter is self-supported through dues paid by every member of the fraternity. At times there could be one-time expenses. We also provide a variety of payment plans to every member of the fraternity who cannot pay dues right away.

Question: Who is in Charge of the Fraternity?

Members/Brothers elect officials every so often who manage day to day operations of the fraternity. Our Eminent Archon, our President, is at the head of the fraternity. These officials receive advice from alumni who act as advisors and our National Headquarters.

Question: What Is My Role As A Parent?

As a parent you are to be supportive and learn as much as you can by asking questions of your son as he meets people through the rush/recruitment process. Fraternity members will be more than happy to share details with him (and you) about their group as a whole.
